About

The name 1605 is derived from the date of the original building and is one of Falmouth’s oldest surviving houses. Over the centuries, it is said to have welcomed ship captains visiting the bustling harbour and may even have been part of local escape routes during times of invasion, with Pendennis Castle watching over the estuary nearby. The walls of the house hold whispers of Falmouth’s seafaring past, from bustling docks to the quiet streets of a historic town.

Today, this historic home has a new life as a family-run bed and breakfast, where guests can enjoy a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, and freshly prepared breakfasts — all while soaking in the charm and character of a house that has stood for over 400 years.
